After winning the 2011 MLS Cup, star-studded Los Angeles Galaxy, with the talismanic ex-England captain David Beckham at the helm, American posterboy Landon Donovan, and enigmatic Irish forward Robbie Keane, is expected to play against the Philippine Azkals at the ancient Rizal Memorial Stadium in what has been dubbed as "The Dream Match." With the astronomical ticket prices lowered, it is expected that the expected attendance figures would rise up. In my case, I would probably want to watch it on television eventhough the idea of meeting these guys on the flesh is quite remote.

Rumors are rife that Becks, the MLS' highest paid player, is planning to bolt out of the team ala Lebron James. Lured by the big money of French Ligue 1 team Paris St.-Germain, the football icon is expected to become the most anticipated player in the football's transfer window. It is said that Chelsea and Cote D'Ivoire forward Didier Drogba is offered to replace Becks in case the transfer has been finalized.

Much like what I saw in the NBA-PBA All Star exhibition series, there is nothing to expect but a goodwill game atmosphere between our team flavored with mixed-race players and formidable MLS team powered by known internationals. Much like the result of the Galaxy's recent victory of the Indonesian national team, Becks and company is expected to have a goal-scoring spree or settle for a 1-0 scoreline.

I have to see it for myself on December 3. It's a date!
